26279 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: What user charges, if any, will be collected by the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, in 2025/26, and for each of these what is the total amount expected to be collected?
Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that WorkSafe New Zealand intends to collect user charges of a total expected value of $515,843 in 2025/26.
The chargers are for: Occupational diving certificate of competence fees; Asbestos Removalist licences and Asbestos Assessor licences; Amusement Device registration fees; Petroleum safety case assessment fees; Extractives’ certificate of competence fees; Adventure Activities operator registration; Controlled Substance Licence application fees; Part 6 approvals for sites and equipment, such as distance waivers and compliance plans; Test station approvals; Application fees for authorisations as a compliance officer; Safety case assessment fees (major hazard facilities); Approval fees – electrical; Exemptions (gas & electricity); Declared articles (electricity).
