Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Customs: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, what are the total costs of staff redundancies, as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that as at 30 May 2024, the total cost of redundancies at the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) due to Customs’ organisational change programme is $2,696,571.81.
