Camilla Belich to the Minister of Local Government: Does the Minister, or any member of their office, hold or store any official information relating to their portfolio or ministerial duties in private or personal email accounts, and if so, what steps are being taken to ensure that information is captured and retained in accordance with the Public Records Act 2005?

Hon Simon Watts: It is my expectation, as Minister, and the practice in my office, that official emails are used for official business, and that any incidental use of other email accounts involving official information is accessible to the public record, for example, being forwarded to an official email or otherwise logged.
