Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Agriculture: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, how many roles have been identified for disestablishment, listed by role title, remuneration band, and business group (or equivalent organisational unit) as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that this process is ongoing. The Ministry for Primary Industries expects a net reduction of 391 positions from 1 July 2024. Compiling the detailed information on role titles, remuneration band and business group for the positions that are being disestablished is not able to be completed within the response timeframe for a WPQ.
