26136 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, how many employees who have lost or are set to lose their roles, as well as vacancies that will not be filled, work with children as at 30 May 2024?
Hon Mark Mitchell: The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is a departmental agency hosted by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). DPMC also hosts the functional Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery. In my capacity as the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery I am not the Minister responsible for the Vote. The Prime Minister is the Responsible Minister for the Vote. I refer the Member to the Prime Minister’s response to Written Parliamentary Question 24559 (2024).
