26081 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Attorney-General: What briefings or advice, if any, has the Minister received on the fiscal implications of redundancies – voluntary or not – in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies (where applicable within their portfolio) resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by title and date, as at 30 May 2024?
Hon Judith Collins: The Minister has received no briefings or advice on the fiscal implications of redundancies to meet a public sector saving initiative as at 30 May 2024. Regarding Crown Law, the Attorney-General was informed of the impacts of workforce reduction as part of the Initial Baseline Exercise. Following on from the Initial Baseline Exercise further detail has been provided to the Attorney-General, including the number of disestablished roles and redundancies, and the programmes impacted by the baseline savings exercise.
