26073 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: What briefings or advice, if any, has the Minister received on the fiscal implications of redundancies – voluntary or not – in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies (where applicable within their portfolio) resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by title and date, as at 30 May 2024?
Hon Brooke van Velden: As Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety, I have no responsibility for any government departments or Ministries. In respect of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, I refer the Member to the Minister for Economic Development’s answer to written parliamentary question 25948 (2024).
In respect of the Crown Entity WorkSafe New Zealand, the only savings realised are in relation to the return of funding for activities that are no longer progressing, and these have not had any FTE impact on the organisation.
