Camilla Belich to the Minister of Housing: How many financial settlements, if any, have been entered into with employees, former employees, contractors, or office holders by any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, broken down by organisation, total cost, and year, as at 5 June 2026?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kainga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that under section 149 of the Employment Relations Act 2000: • From 27 November 2023-December 31, there was 1 confidential settlement agreement, at a total cost of $12,000.00 • In 2024, there were 17 confidential settlement agreements, at a total cost of $417,950.44 • In 2025, there were 10 confidential settlement agreements, at a total cost of $206,363.97 The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development advises me that as at 5 June 2026, one confidential settlement has been entered into since 27 November 2023. The cost has been withheld to maintain confidentiality of the settlement. This is also my answer to WPQ 26076 (2026).
