26048 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Finance: How many financial settlements, if any, have been entered into with employees, former employees, contractors, or office holders by any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, broken down by organisation, total cost, and year, as at 5 June 2026?
Hon Nicola Willis: The settlement agreements entered by the RBNZ between 27 November 2023 and 05 June 2026, is broken down by financial years below:
• In the 12 months to 30 June 2024, RBNZ paid four staff a total of $175,194.80 to settle disputes.
• In the 12 months to 30 June 2025, RBNZ paid ten staff a total of $1,638,272.63 to settle disputes.
• In the period between 1 July 2025 and 5 June 2026, RBNZ paid seven staff a total of $218,315.56 to settle disputes.
For the Government Superannuation Fund, none, no employees.
For Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, I refer the Member to the response to written question 26057 (2026)
For the period 27 November 2023 to 5 June 2026, the Natural Hazards Commission had a total of nine confidential financial settlements entered into with employees at a total cost of $240,146.77, broken down by the following financial year.
