Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for the Public Service: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, what savings have been identified, as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that these decisions are the responsibility of the relevant Chief Executive. However, I am aware that the Public Service Commission has publicly confirmed a proposal that may impact roles at the Commission, subject to consultation with staff and final decisions.
