Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Police: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, what savings have been identified, as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Budget 2024 approved one savings initiative for Police which is to reduce Corporate Support headcount by $55 million. The Serious Fraud Office has identified $0.600 million in savings for FY 2024/25, for a total of $2.4 million over four years (to 2027/28 inclusive).
