Camilla Belich to the Minister of Customs: What is the total expenditure, actual or projected, if any, on staff redundancies across all agencies, departments, Crown entities, companies, or other organisations for which the Minister is responsible arising from Budget 2026 decisions, broken down by agency, as at 5 June 2026?

Hon Casey Costello: The Government announced measures to transform the public service as part of Budget 2026 on 28 May 2026. I am advised that Customs is considering the implications of the transformation programme and that Customs has not started any staff redundancy processes as a consequence of the savings announced in Budget 2026.
