26026 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Police

Written Question
Published date: 14 Jun 2024
26026 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Police: What briefings or advice, if any, has the Minister received on the fiscal implications of redundancies – voluntary or not – in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies (where applicable within their portfolio) resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by title and date, as at 30 May 2024?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I refer the Member to my response to Written Parliamentary Question 22483 (2024). I have received one briefing from the Serious Fraud Office on the proposed cost saving measures: • 9 February 2024 - ‘Budget 2024 Submission Documents for Review’. The Serious Fraud Office has not disestablished any roles in relation to the directive to reduce expenditure and is not currently consulting on any proposals which would result in loss of jobs or staff redundancies.
