Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Māori Crown Relations: Te Arawhiti: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if any, what savings have been identified, as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that the savings identified at Te Arawhiti comprise $2.3m per annum in Claimant funding for negotiating Treaty of Waitangi claims and back-office cost savings of $266k per annum.
