Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Housing: What briefings or advice, if any, has the Minister received on the fiscal implications of redundancies – voluntary or not – in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies (where applicable within their portfolio) resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by title and date, as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Chris Bishop: I received general advice on the risks to delivery of government priorities as part of the Budget process. I am advised that these decisions are the responsibility of the agencies. Furthermore, I am advised that these decisions are still to be finalised and are subject to staff consultation.
