25940 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Transport: How many permanent staff, if any, were employed within each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, during 2024/25 financial year?

Hon Chris Bishop: As at 8 May 2025, the Ministry of Transport employed 215 permanent staff. I am advised that as of 28 February 2025, NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi employed 2826 permanent staff.
