25929 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How many permanent staff, if any, will be employed within each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, during 2025/26 financial year?

Hon Louise Upston: Resourcing decisions are based on operational need and turnover of employees, which includes internal movement and people leaving MSD. As of 31 March 2025, MSD employed 9,090.5 full time equivalent (FTE) employees, made up of 8,666 permanent employees and 424.5 temporary employees.
