25900 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Agriculture: What briefings or advice, if any, has the Minister received on the fiscal implications of redundancies – voluntary or not – in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies (where applicable within their portfolio) resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by title and date, as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Todd McClay: The Ministry for Primary Industries completed consultation with staff on change proposals and final decisions were released to staff on 16 May 2024. Any costs associated with implementing staff changes, including redundancy payments, will be determined once the changes are implemented, which is not expected to occur until 1 July 2024.
