Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: What briefings or advice, if any, has the Minister received on the fiscal implications of redundancies – voluntary or not – in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies (where applicable within their portfolio) resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by title and date, as at 30 May 2024?

In respect of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, I refer the Member to the Minister for Economic Development’s answer to written parliamentary question 25948 (2024). With regard to agencies under the SI&T portfolio, no agencies have been directed to find savings under the cost saving initiative.
