25832 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing

25832 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What is the average build cost per square metre for new Kāinga Ora apartments delivered in 2024/25 and how many, if any, of those apartments were built to a standard design?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it is not possible to provide this information without diverting a significant amount of staff resources from their core duties. In accordance with SR 210/6 I consider that the time, and hence the expense, of answering this question cannot be justified in this case.
