25831 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many, if any, new apartments did Kāinga Ora deliver in each year 2023/24, 2024/25 and so far in 2025/26 and what percentage of overall new house deliveries do those numbers represent for each year?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it delivered the following number of new apartments in each financial year, and the proportion these represented of total new homes delivered: • 2023/24: 802 apartments, representing 17% of total new homes delivered. • 2024/25: 279 apartments, representing 8% of total new homes delivered. • 2025/26 (to date): Kāinga Ora has not delivered any new apartments.
