25819 (2026). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Housing: Will any units at the Hyperion Drive Kainga Ora complex be sold as part of the redevelopment works, if so, how many?

Hon Chris Bishop: All new homes built as part of the 48–50 Hyperion Drive redevelopment will be retained for public housing. There were originally two homes on the site. One of these has been demolished. The other was allocated to another party and sold, consistent with Kāinga Ora’s practice of disposing of homes it no longer requires.
