25794 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: How much, if any, is the total budget in the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, for the 2026/27 financial year on artificial intelligence- including costs on training staff, deploying systems, maintaining subscriptions and any other associated costs?

Hon Mark Mitchell: For the Sports Integrity Commission - Nil I am advised the Sport New Zealand Group has budgeted $197,000 for artificial intelligence initiatives in the 2026/27 financial year. This comprises $179,000 for Copilot licence costs and $18,000 for AI support and coaching.
