25755 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Education: How many permanent staff, if any, will be employed within each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, during 2025/26 financial year?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Ministry of Education does not forecast the number of permanent employees expected to be employed in 2025/26. Education New Zealand is estimated to have 80 permanent staff during the 2025/26 financial year. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority is estimated to have approximately 450 permanent staff at 31 March 2026 I am advised that ERO's establishment is 245. ERO continues to work towards filling vacancies as and when they occur.
