25752 (2026). Vanushi Walters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What discussions, if any, has the Minister or officials had with foreign counterparts regarding cooperation on submarine cable infrastructure in the Pacific region since 1 January 2026, by date and location?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: We have not had any formal engagments on cable infrastructure with Pacific counterparts. Officials routinely engage with Pacific counterparts on the strategic infrastructure issues including cables. It is not possible to collate a comprehensive list of these engagements within the timeframes for written parliamentary questions.
