25742 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Customs: How many permanent staff, if any, will be employed within each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, during 2025/26 financial year?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) forecasts staffing numbers by full time equivalent numbers, and not as staff numbers. The number of permanent staff forecast to be employed at Customs, as at the end of the 2025/26 financial year, is expected to be 1496.4 full time equivalent.
