25725 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Associate Minister of Justice: What is the forecast amount, if any, expected to be paid into the Proceeds of Crime Fund in the 2025/26 and 2026/27 financial years?

Hon Nicole McKee: I am advised that the Ministry of Justice does not currently forecast the amount expected to be available in the Proceeds of Crime Fund (the Fund). As the Fund is a cash-based fund, the balance available is dependent on the timing and value of proceeds recovered and paid into the Fund, which can fluctuate significantly from year to year. Historically, the Fund has had, on average, between $10 million and $15 million available for allocation each year.
