25717 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health

25717 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many of Health New Zealand's approximately 350 legacy websites have been consolidated into the national website, how many have been decommissioned without their content being migrated, how many are not yet actioned, and by what date does Health New Zealand expect all remaining sites to be consolidated or decommissioned?
Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand has undertaken website consolidation through a phased programme since 2023. As at 5 June 2026: • 117 websites have been consolidated into national platforms through the programme • 175 websites remain in scope for future consolidation or decommissioning. I am further advised that each website is assessed through a detailed, page-by-page content audit. Decisions are made for each individual page on whether content should be migrated, updated, integrated into existing national content, or retired. Health NZ does not track the number of sites decommissioned without content being migrated. I am also advised that Health New Zealand has not completed detailed planning for all future phases of the programme and therefore does not have a confirmed date by which all remaining websites will be consolidated or decommissioned.
