Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora advises me that it currently uses artificial intelligence (AI) in a limited and controlled manner. Its budget for the 2026/27 financial year is $268,047. I am advised the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has an annual subscription for AI services which is $174,434. Costs for the 2026/27 financial year as part of the new Ministry of Cities, Environment, Regions, and Transport are not available at this time.
