Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury has not completed its FY 26/27 budget and does not currently distinguish between expenditure on AI from other information technology costs. The RBNZ has budgeted $77,300 for AI-specific activities for FY 26/27, which includes its subscription, project costs, and training. The Natural Hazards Commission’s total budget for the 2026/27 financial year on artificial intelligence is $530,349.
