25671 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for Pacific Peoples: How many permanent staff, if any, were employed within each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, during 2022/23 financial year?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised by the Ministry for Pacific Peoples (the Ministry) that between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023, 144 people were permanent employees of the Ministry. This includes employees that started with the Ministry prior to the financial year and employees that resigned within that time period. The month with the highest headcount of permanent staff was in June 2023 with 115 individuals employed.
