25648 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How many permanent staff, if any, were employed within each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, during 2024/25 financial year?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The Department of Internal Affairs (the Department) I am advised by the Department that 2,558 permanent staff were employed during the 2024/25 financial year up to 31 March 2025. The Lotteries Commission I am advised that 232 permanent staff were employed during the 2024/25 financial year. Fire and Emergency New Zealand I am advised that as of 31 March 2025, there were 3019.2 permanent staff employed at the organisation. Office of Film and Literature Classification This information has not yet been compiled. It is expected to be reported in the 2024/25 annual report.
