25472 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for Disability Issues: How much funding, if any, was spent on capital works by the each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, during the 2024/25 financial year?

Hon Louise Upston: Regarding the Ministry of Disabled People - Whaikaha, up to 30 November 2024, it did not undertake capital works to property. This is publicly available in the Annual Report: https://www.whaikaha.govt.nz/assets/Alternative-formats/Ministry-of-Disabled-People-Whaikaha-2025-Annual-Report.pdf As a standalone agency Whaikaha will produce an Annual Report from 1 Dec 2024 to 30 June 2025 followed by the Annual Review. This information will be made available by the Ministry through its annual review submissions that will take place following the presentation of its Annual Report. In relation to Disability Support Services, which is part of the Ministry of Social Development, I refer the member to the reply to written question 25413 (2025).
