25360 (2026). Vanushi Walters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: How much climate-related development assistance funding, if any, was reduced or cut in the previous financial year, and has any of that funding been reinstated in Budget 2026?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Time-limited climate finance funding finished as planned at the end of calendar year 2025. Climate-related development assistance continues to be funded as part of the broader International Development Cooperation (IDC) appropriation, which is supported by Budget 2026 additional funding. We expect investment in climate finance to continue to be a similar proportion of total IDC spend as previous years
