25336 (2026). Vanushi Walters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: Has New Zealand received any formal invitation, if any, to participate in Pillar 2 of AUKUS, and what is the Government's current position on participation?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: New Zealand has not received a formal invitation to participate in AUKUS Pillar II. The Government is taking a deliberate and considered approach to exploring any potential participation in AUKUS Pillar II projects. Any decision on this will be made by Cabinet.
