25244 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Education: How much funding, if any, was spent on capital works by the each of the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, during the 2024/25 financial year?

Hon Erica Stanford: The estimated capital expenditure for the Ministry of Education for 2024/25 is $1,975m. Please refer to section 1.2 Trends in the Vote in the Estimates of Appropriations 2025/26 for more information, available at https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/view.aspx?src=https%3A%2F%2Fbudget.govt.nz%2Fbudget%2Fdocs%2Festimates%2Fv2%2Fest25-v2-educ.doc&wdOrigin=BROWSELINK. NZQA spent $71,000 on leasehold property related capital works during the 2024/25 financial year. Education New Zealand did not spend any funding on capital works in the 2024/25 financial year. I am advised that for the year-to-date to 30 April 2025 ERO has spent $0.456 million in capital.
