Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Prime Minister: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified, resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, what percentage of employees who have lost or are set to lose their roles, as well as vacancies that will not be filled, if any, are located in the Wellington Region, as at 30 May 2024?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the Responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). 100% of vacancies that will not be filled arising from the Governments fiscal sustainability programme are located in the Wellington Region as at 30 May 2024.
