25075 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Local Government: What time limited funding, if any, does the Minister’s responsible agencies, if any, face following budget 2025?

Hon Simon Watts: From 1 July 2025 the Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai will be predominantly funded through a levy. The levy has been set at $20.658 million for three years (1 July 2025 to 30 June 2028). The Minister must complete the first review of the levies by 30 June 2028. As part of the review, the Minister must consider whether it is appropriate to increase, decrease, or maintain the levy.
