24993 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for Auckland: Did the Minister or their Office produce a portfolio savings summary for their portfolio as part of the Budget 2025 process, and if so, was this summary provided to the Minister of Finance or her Office?

Hon Simeon Brown: While no document titled “portfolio savings summary” was produced as part of the Budget 2025 process, I can assure the Member that our Government took a fiscally responsible approach, carefully examining spending across all areas of the portfolio to ensure value for money and to avoid the waste and inefficiency New Zealanders saw under the previous government.
