Hon Louise Upston: I am informed that information about funding allocated under the Major Events and Tourism Package paid to offshore entities is not available. However, events and tourism promotion activities will have expenditure offshore: - The $10 million Regional Tourism Promotion Fund Round Two is expected to spend funding offshore to attract visitors to New Zealand. - The $40 million Events Attraction Package will have large proportion of spend offshore related to securing hosting rights. - The $10 million Events Boost Fund will have a low level of spend offshore as events are mostly domestic, but there will be some expenditure offshore to promote the events and attract visitors.
