24776 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Police: How many roles, if any, were created in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025, listed by job title and number of roles under each job title?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I refer the Member to the attached tables. • Table one shows the number of staff by job type as at 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025, broken down into Constabulary and Other Police Employees (OPEs). • Table two shows the number of staff in each position as at 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025, broken down into Constabulary and OPEs. In regard to the Serious Fraud Office, Nine roles were created at the Serious Fraud Office between 20 May 2024 and 22 May 2025: • Manager Detection and Prevention • Intelligence/Detection Lead • Forensic Accountant • e-Discovery Analyst • Operations Support Coordinator • Senior Accountant • Forensic Accounting Analyst • Senior Investigator – Evaluations • Legal Advisor – Evaluations In addition, the following fixed term roles were created, including for parental leave cover: • Learning and Development Advisor • Communications and Engagement Lead • Publications Lead – Prevention • Legal Advisor The net change in roles at the Serious Fraud Office between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025 is four permanent roles, which were made redundant on 1 October 2024. I refer the member to WPQ 24783 (2025) for information about disestablished roles. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Question 24786 (2025).
