Hon Chris Penk: Changes to established positions, both creating and disestablishing, regularly occur to ensure resource is directed to support areas of focus and growth, ensuring the right capabilities to advance strategic objectives and enhance operational efficiency. Between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025 109 new positions were created and 118 existing positions closed, resulting in a net decrease of nine positions. During this time, Land Information New Zealand has undergone significant changes to better align the workforce with evolving business needs.
