Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Education: What was the net change, if any, of all roles in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025, listed by job title and number of roles under each job title?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Ministry of Education’s net change of roles disestablished and those newly established as part of organisational change can be found in Question 178 of the 2023/24 Annual Review, available at https://www.parliament.nz/resource/en-NZ/54SCEDUW_EVI_d7786905-a38e-44d3-21c3-08dcee21bb3d_EDUW2284/7be2f57d70ac56d1e5cee44db698586c5f69f588. The analysis required to provide the net change by each role title within the Ministry of Education cannot be done within the timeframe available for responding to written parliamentary questions. The net change of roles at Education New Zealand is a reduction of 11 roles between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025. The net change of roles at NZQA is a reduction of 23.3 roles between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025. There was a net reduction of ten roles at ERO between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025.
