Hon Erica Stanford: I have interpreted roles disestablished as those which are disestablished as part of organisational change. Data on the Ministry of Education’s positions disestablished as part of the Change Programme can be found in Question 178 of the 2023/24 Annual Review, available at https://www.parliament.nz/resource/en-NZ/54SCEDUW_EVI_d7786905-a38e-44d3-21c3-08dcee21bb3d_EDUW2284/7be2f57d70ac56d1e5cee44db698586c5f69f588. Outside of the Change Programme, there has only been one position disestablished through organisational change during this period; ‘Hautū, Hanganga, Matihiko | Deputy Secretary, Infrastructure and Digital.’ The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) disestablished 72.8 full time equivalent roles between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025. Education New Zealand (ENZ) disestablished 29 roles between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025. The Education Review office disestablished 22 roles between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025.
