24652 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Corrections: What was the net change, if any, of all roles in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, between 30 May 2024 and 22 May 2025, listed by job title and number of roles under each job title?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Corrections’ operational environment is such that staff resourcing can shift throughout the year based on demand (ie: number of prisoners being managed) or changes to rosters which requires positions to be removed from one team and subsequently created in another team. I am further advised that for some projects and initiatives, fixed term roles may be created for a set period of time. These roles are then removed if it is determined that these roles do not need to be extended when they end. I am further advised that Corrections reports on role numbers at the end of each month. I refer the member to the attached table, which shows the net change in roles at Corrections between 31 May 2024 and 31 May 2025, broken down position group and number of positions.
