24584 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Associate Minister of Transport: How much, if any, has been budgeted for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any for the 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026 financial year?

Hon James Meager: I am advised that: - CAA has budgeted $50,000 for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the 2025/26 financial year. This includes CNGP membership, external audit costs and staff resourcing. - approximately $20,000 has been budgeted by Maritime NZ for the 2025/26 financial year. The costs associated with this work at Maritime NZ involve maintaining their emissions accounting function.
