24578 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: How much, if any, has been budgeted for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any for the 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026 financial year?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that the Ministry of Transport has not yet finalised its budget for 2025/26, so no figures are available. The NZTA have informed me that there will not be a dedicated budget for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP) in fiscal year 2025/26. However, the NZTA has advised me that approximately $150,000 from the National Land Transport Fund, and $50,000 from baseline funding, will be allocated for CNGP-related activities and reporting across the year.
