Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: How many voluntary redundancy processes have been initiated, if any, in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, as at 22 May 2025, since 27 November 2023, and how much was the total cost in New Zealand dollar terms, if any?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the departments, agencies, and ministries that I am responsible for as Minister of Health report annually to the Health Select Committee on these matters, as part of our focus on putting patients first and ensuring that all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare. I do not consider it in the public interest to commit taxpayer-funded officials' time to preparing this information ahead of these publications.
