Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Ethnic Communities: How much, if anything, is being budgeted in the 2025/26 financial year for redundancy payments, severance or other termination packages in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and how much has been budgeted and spent in the past five financial years?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised by the Ministry for Ethnic Communities that no redundancy payments, severance or other termination packages have been budgeted in the 2025/26 financial year, with any cost to be provided through baseline funding. Details of redundancy payments made over the last five financial years are reported in the Social Services and Community Select Committee Annual Review. These have been summarised for the Member in the attached document. The figures have been updated to reflect redundancy payments in the 2025/26 financial year as of 29 May 2025.
