Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Economic Growth: How much, if anything, is being budgeted in the 2025/26 financial year for redundancy payments, severance or other termination packages in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and how much has been budgeted and spent in the past five financial years?

Hon Nicola Willis: With regard to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), I am advised organisational changes or reviews and any associated impact on staff across MBIE have not been determined or forecast for 2025/26. For data on the number of people who have received redundancy payments, severance or other termination packages in previous financial years, please refer to the response to question 165 (page 56) in MBIE's Annual Review written responses 2023/24. With regard to New Zealand Growth Capital Partners, I am advised none.
